The moral of Wicked
The main conclusion of Wicked is that you should always stand up for what you believe in. It also tests your version of what truly is
good and what is “evil”, and makes you understand that you must always have the full story before making a judgement.
It’s always important to know the full details before saying anything about that person. Another important lesson is misinformation, and how often
enough we are duped into thinking something that is not the truth. Other themes include tolerance, friendship, prejudice, and trust.
Set Design & Music
The musical renditions in Wicked are very thematic, and there is a lot of opera music. In every instance, musical instruments are changed to match
the motifs of the mood. The designed for the set was Eugene Lee. There are many issues with realism, so they opted to create and environment resembling
the inside of a clock. The designs were not based off the 1939 film Wizard of Oz. Some materials they used were wood, maple, and some
mechanical designs, rather than industrial polymers so that they could convey an age of distress.
