Hi, I’m Jenica. I’m excited to take part in Lit Mag this year. I was initially interested in joining because I was intrigued by the concept of combining art and literature. I was also drawn to the chill and welcoming environment. It’s very much a class that allows for a lot of creative freedom and opportunity. I hope to strengthen my creative writing skills, as I don’t tend to practice them much.

Here are some fun facts about me (yay):

  • I was born on Friday the 13th in October (the best month, to be honest).

  • For the past two years, I’ve been cutting my own hair. It usually turns out okay.

  • The only Chinese music artist I repeatedly find myself listening to is 福禄寿FloruitShow. Their music is fire, but too bad they won’t be making more anytime soon (google it if you’re curious).

My Hobbies

I draw a lot (how surprising). Right now I’m on that grind for art school portfolios, so my creativity is at all-time low.

I like coming up with characters and giving them half-baked lore. Then I store them in the vault of Google docs for ten years.

Oh, you thought I had a third hobby? Well, I don’t. Oops. Anyways, have a picture of one of my cats.

Wow more stuff

I began drawing and editing animatics in 2021. My last video was made two months ago, and I probably won’t continue making them until I graduate (school’s flipping me like an omelet right now.). They’re fun to make, but take up way too much of my time and energy.
