MY HOBBIES

Hi, I’m Jayani! I’m currently a senior at Northview High School. I love to run and have been on Northview’s varsity cross-country and track team for the past three years. I’ve also played the veena, an Indian stringed musical instrument, for nearly 8 years.

GOALS?

I like Lit Mag because of its perseverance to continue pushing artistic boundaries and its determination to spread awareness of the literary arts. I decided to join because I wanted to improve my writing skills and connect art and writing together. I now am social media manager and hope to improve The Muse’s brand presence and increase awareness about the magazine!

I hope to better understand how to connect art and writing to effectively communicate the emotions to an audience. Writing accompanied by art can portray emotions and give insight to a piece which a reader may never have seen before.

I’m obsessed with alpacas and you can often find me visiting the Winterville animal farm to spend time with a myriad of fluffy animals. I love baking, especially brownies, triple chocolate cookies, and blueberry scones! Another fun fact is that I love trying new food, so you will often find me cooking a new recipe in the kitchen or shopping at Trader Joes! I also love taking photos of sunsets, sunrises, and yummy food! I also am The Muse’s social media manager so keep an eye out for our insta @northviewmuse!
